Mental Health Support

Mental health is a vital part of aging well, and facing emotional challenges is far more common than you might think. Effective support is available through our partner organizations and hotline services, and reaching out is a strong, positive step toward feeling better.

Aroostook Mental Health Center (AMHC)

AMHC is the largest behavioral healthcare provider in the region, offering integrated mental health, substance use, crisis, and recovery services across Aroostook, Hancock, and Washington counties. Their services include care coordination, mental health treatment for adults and children, crisis assessment and safety planning, and community support services. Most insurances are accepted, and a sliding fee schedule based on family size and income is available — no one is denied services due to an inability to pay.

To access services, call the AMHC Referral Center at 1-800-244-6431 or visit the AMHC website.
